Certificate IV in Aged Care

Certificate IV in Aged Care has been designed to give students the knowledge to provide physical, social and psychological support for the elderly as well as people with intellectual disabilities. In this program students will be trained to work in community settings, including hostels and group homes.

Studies in aged care will enable individuals to harness their empathy to help maintain the well-being and
independence of the elderly. This qualification addresses work primarily in residential facilities under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined organisation guidelines and service plans.
