Government Funded Training for Businesses and Employees

 

To assist and support Australian businesses, the Australian Government provides $4,000 for every eligible employee who enrols in an approved training course.

This funding is made available through the Australian Apprenticeships Program and allows you to up-skill and retain eligible staff without being out of pocket and may only be available for a limited time.


The funding is paid directly to the employer organisation and the $4,000 per eligible employee is paid as $1500 after 90 days and $2,500 upon completion of the qualification.

Here’s how it works:

Payment Structure

  • Total cost of a Certificate IV is $3,000. Business retains $1,000.
  • Total cost of a Diploma is $3,500. Business retains $500
  • Generally to qualify, your staff must meet the following criteria:
      • Be an Aust citizen, permanent resident or NZ citizen who has been in Aust for 6 months plus
      • Be employed on a permanent basis either full-time or part-time (minimum 15 hours per week)
      • To enrol in a Diploma, staff cannot have a prior diploma or degree.
      • To enrol in a Certificate IV, staff cannot have a prior diploma or degree and cannot have completed a Certifi cate III or IV in the last 7 years. Some conditions apply.
  • Where are the courses offered

    NTD’s courses are delivered throughout Australia, currently delivering on-site courses in QLD and by distance web-based delivery into NSW, VIC, SA, WA, TAS and regional centres.

  • How do I know if I am eligible?

    To assist you in finding out if your employees or yourself as an employee are eligible, simply complete and submit the NTD Training Eligibility Form and NTD will contact you shortly to advise if an employee may be eligible for funding.
